Submission Guidelines
Submissions of relevant
feature articles, news items, anecdotes, poetry, short fiction and
graphics in any genre are welcomed.
-
Please follow these
guidelines.
-
Send your
submission to your editorial committee at the writers' centre where you
are a member, well before the advertised deadline. Participating centres
are Fellowship of Australian Writers (WA), Katharine Susannah Prichard
Writers Centre and Peter Cowan Writers Centre.
-
Send as an email attachment (or floppy disk) in MS Word of your
submission. Paper copies can not be accepted because of time
involved with retyping should they be selected. However, the Fellowship
staff can help you convert your work into the required format
-
Make sure your
name, postal address and email address are on every poem, story or article
that you submit.
-
Prose over
1500 words or poems exceeding 50 lines are rarely accepted (for reasons of
space).
-
Feature writers should
contact the Managing Editor via email well before deadline to discuss
their proposed article
-
Previously published
works may be accepted. Please indicate if they have been published
elsewhere
-
Work that cannot be
published in one issue may be held over for a later issue, with the
author's permission.
-
Work may be
edited for content and length. If so, the author's approval will be
sought.
-
Unsuccessful
submissions should be revised and resubmitted.
-
The editorial
board will make a final selection from the submissions forwarded by the
editorial committees of the writers' centres. The board's decision is
final. No discussion will be entered into. If you have any complaints,
please write to the chairperson or president of your writers centre.
-
The FAWWA provides some feedback to writers whose submissions are
unsuccessful.
-
If you do not have internet
access a floppy disk will be accepted with an MSWord or text file/s.
Please mark discs with your name, address, phone number and titles of
works (disks are non returnable).

computer, please phone to book use of a machine at Tom Collins House.
